The brief was simple: refresh the brand without losing the woman behind it. I led the creative direction and production of the campaign, building a visual world around Mercedes’ personality — sophisticated, playful, sensual and deeply connected to nature — bringing more than 30 high jewelry pieces into the story. With a limited production setup and a white backdrop as our only environment, I directed and produced a fashion story featuring pieces from Cult Gaia, Jonathan Simkhai and Equipment. I led the creative direction and production of a fashion editorial for BE Concept Store, working with a resort setting in San Miguel de Allende as part of the visual language. There was no makeup artist. No hairstylist. No production crew to hide behind. Raquel did her own makeup, I did her hair, and together with photographer Rodrigo Alvarez, we built the story around what we had. A home-like setting, a stripped-back production and a lineup of Self-Portrait, Cult Gaia, Cinq à Sept, Paige and Equipment became a fashion story with its own personality. Built around two of Laila’s muses, we created an entire fictional celebration — and I became the wedding planner behind it. From developing the concept and story to producing the looks, wedding cake, posters, printed pieces and all the visual details, I led the creative and production process from beginning to end. With photographer Rodrigo Alvarez and a full cast of collaborators, we built a world that felt real enough to have its own guests, rituals and history — while still functioning as a fashion campaign. We took the story to Círculo Mexicano in Mexico City, using its architecture, textures and sense of place as the backdrop for a fashion editorial designed to introduce the new collections with a distinct point of view. A decadent fantasy inspired by Marie Antoinette — oversized bows, powdered faces, ornate details, and an unapologetically excessive world built around the collection. I led the art direction and production, working closely with director Tibureina to build the visual world from the ground up. We pushed the fantasy until it became playful, messy and a little ridiculous — including the moment when the girls stopped posing and started throwing cake at each other. The result was a fashion film and campaign that felt less like a traditional lookbook and more like a fever dream. Over a 15-hour shoot, I coordinated eight talents moving in and out in shifts, managing a continuous flow of styling, shooting and production while keeping the visual language consistent throughout. The campaign was produced through the same lean model of creative partnerships, negotiated rates and in-kind collaborations I developed for the lookbook — maximizing the production without compromising the creative ambition. Working with photographer Rodrigo Alvarez, we turned one intensive shooting day into two distinct bodies of work for the brand. One day. Two campaigns. Eight talents.
